I installed the new nest box unit yesterday. Looks pretty good, eh? I believe the chicken in this pic is a Seabright, but I'm not sure.
The chickens quickly figured how to use this new piece of furniture.

Of course, not all the chickens took the time to figure out the new arrangement(s) & used one old box & the reliable corner of the coop under the roost.

Well Mrs Coldwater here. It is a brahma /cochan variety not a seabright but close. 17 0f 18 eggs I found today were in the new boxes to score one for the carpenter.
